- Data for Deals, Period: We analyze patterns to find you deals, not to sell your information.

By using DBOT, you acknowledge you've read and consent to this policy.
2. Age Requirements & Content Filtering
To protect our community, we enforce strict age guidelines.
- Minimum Age: All users must be at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn a user is under 13, we will terminate the account and delete all data immediately.
- Users 13-20: Content is automatically filtered to exclude alcohol, cannabis, gambling, and other adult-oriented venues or products.
- Users 21+: Have access to the full, unfiltered marketplace, including age-restricted deals and venues, upon age verification.
3. Information We Collect
With your explicit consent, we collect the following types of information to power your recommendations:
Personal Information You Provide:
- Name & Email Address: To create and manage your account.
- Date of Birth: For mandatory age verification and content filtering.
- Location (City/Neighborhood): To provide relevant, localized deals.
- Optional Phone Number: To send you optional deal alerts you sign up for.
How You Use the App (Usage Data):
- Search queries, pages viewed, and interaction patterns within DBOT.
- Categories, brands, and price points you engage with.
- General shopping patterns and brand affinities to refine our AI.
Technical Data:
- IP address, device type, operating system, and browser version to ensure app functionality and security.
Payment Information:
- Your payment details are processed directly by our secure partner, Stripe. We do not store your credit card information on our servers.
4. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used for three primary purposes, always with your permission:
To Personalize Your Deals:
- Match you with exclusive, verified deals from our partners.
- Predict and recommend products, services, and events you'll love.
- Alert you to price drops on items you're tracking.
To Provide Support Features:
- Our AI can detect patterns that may indicate a financial emergency to proactively offer resources, assistance programs, and essential deals during difficult times.
To Improve Our Service:
- Enhance our AI's accuracy to improve deal relevance and timing.
- Analyze user patterns to develop new, helpful features.
5. Data Sharing: What We Do and Don't Do
This is critical. We are extremely protective of your data.
What We MAY Share with Deal Partners:
- Anonymized, aggregate data only. For example, "20% of users in this neighborhood are interested in Italian food this week."
- General demographic trends and product demand signals.
What We WILL NEVER Do:
- NEVER sell your personal information to anyone.
- NEVER share your individual browsing or search history.
- NEVER provide partners with your name, email, or other identifiable data.
- NEVER allow third-party trackers or behavioral advertising on our platform.
We may only disclose personal information if required by law, such as in response to a court order.
6. Your Rights & Controls
You have complete control over your data.
- Your Right to Control Consent: All data collection requires your explicit opt-in. You can disable or manage permissions for specific data categories anytime in your Settings.
- Your Right to Access & Correct: View, edit, and correct any of your personal information directly in your profile.
- Your Right to Portability: Download a copy of your data in a standard, machine-readable format.
- Your Right to Be Forgotten: You can request complete deletion of your account and data at any time. We honor all deletion requests within 72 hours.
7. Data Security & Cookie Policy
Security Measures:
We use bank-level security to protect you, including 256-bit AES encryption for data at rest, TLS 1.3 encryption for data in transit, regular security audits, and penetration testing.
Cookie Policy:
We use essential cookies only for core functions like session management and security. We do not use third-party, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies.
8. Data Retention & Regional Rights
Data Retention:
Data is retained while your account is active. Inactive accounts are anonymized after 12 months, and deleted accounts are fully removed within 72 hours.
California (CCPA) & EU (GDPR) Residents:
We fully comply with CCPA and GDPR. This includes your right to know, right to delete, right to portability, and right to object to or restrict processing. (As we do not sell data, the "right to opt-out of sale" is already our default practice).
